NCB Investors Only Privacy Policy

NCB is committed to providing the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use of our customers' and other website users' personal information.

By using this site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, as described below.  This secure site is intended for commercial investors, trustees, and rating agency representatives.

Collection of information:

We will limit the use and collection of information about our customers to that which is necessary to administer our business, provide superior service, and offer opportunities that we think will be of interest to our customers.  You can visit this site and learn about NATIONAL COOPERATIVE BANK, N.A. and view/download some documents and publications without giving us any personal information about yourself.

For purposes of determining "hit counts," our server will track your IP address and the pages you access. We may also collect other non-personally identifiable information when you visit our website such as your browser type and pages viewed.

In order to identify you, we will occasionally use "cookies."  A cookie is a special text file that a web site puts on your hard disk so that it can remember something about you later.

Typically, a cookie records your preferences when using a particular site.  You can set up your browser to inform you when cookies are set or to prevent cookies from being set, but users must agree to let cookies be saved for them to function.

A web site other than the one that set the cookie cannot read the cookie.  We use cookies for a number of administrative purposes, for example, to store your preferences for certain kinds of information or to store a password so that you do not have to input it every time you visit our site.  Most cookies last only through a single session, or visit.

In order to access secure areas of this site, you may be required to provide personal information, such as address, e-mail, telephone and fax numbers, as well as demographic and customer identification.  We will maintain this information, as well as your business activities and transactions, according to our usual strict security and confidentiality standards.

Categories of information that we disclose:

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted or required by law.

It is NCB's policy not to reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence or business matter, unless

  1. information is provided to help complete a customer initiated transaction;

  2. the customer requests or permits it;

  3. the disclosure is required by or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, request by regulator, etc.); or

  4. the customer has been informed about the possibility of disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and given the opportunity to decline (i.e., "opt out").  When we do provide customer information to a third party, we will insist - through a written agreement - that the third party adhere to privacy principles similar to those to which NCB adheres for keeping this information confidential.

Confidentiality and security:

We restrict access to non-public personal information about our customers to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard non-public personal information.

For your protection, we use SSL with 128-bit encryption, and we have obtained a valid and current certificate from a recognized Certification Authority.
